Design is just a small part of the process. Every light fixture we make is filled with the breath of glassmakers, the air from their lungs, created in the heat of the furnaces thanks to the physical labor and mastery of people.

Process meaning design with respect...

We don't want to bind light, but rather just touch it. We see light more as a partner.

Everything we do comes from respect. To the light, to the material, to the technology. All TY O products are designed and carefully manufactured in the Czech Republic.

Tomas is the main designer and founder of the TYO project. He started as a graphic designer but gradually moved to work with glass and metal. He now focuses mainly on lighting and furniture design.
